The Master in Political Communication is specially designed to equip students with a grounded 360 degree vision of the changing landscape of political practice. It covers political campaigning and consulting, public opinion polling and communication in public institutions, with a strong focus on the new media and international nature of these processes.
This Master immerses students in the world of 21st century political communication, providing them with training and skills that can be applied in both electoral campaigns and the day-to-day communication activities of political parties, governmental agencies, transnational organizations, NGOs and lobby, pressure and advocacy groups. This Master also gives students the background necessary to understand and influence the current sociopolitical environment.
This Master shapes a new kind of practitioner: one who is knowledgeable about various approaches to political communication, proficient in the methods used to study it, able to use the new media during campaigns, and who can gauge and affect public opinion and apply his or her skills in various sociopolitical contexts of our inter-connected world.

CloseThe Master in Political Communication is an intensive, ten-month program divided into three periods that run from October to December, January to March and April to July. Students will be attending all course content units at our IE campus in Madrid, with a number of MediaLab sessions at our campus in Segovia.

The mission of the Careers Management Center (CMC) is to equip IE graduates with the skills and tools to successfully manage their careers in a globalizing and increasingly competitive economy. The CMC also offers each student individual career planning and coaching sessions. Admission is granted on a rolling basis and although early application is recommended, there is no deadline for applications for a particular intake. Admission is valid for two years.

CloseTo be considered for admission, a candidate must have successfully completed the following prior to submission:
Candidates pay a non-refundable application fee of 120€ to cover administrative costs. The tuition fees for the Master in Political Communication for the October 2012 intake total 19,200€, including a 1,200€ contribution to the IE Foundation.
Admission is valid for two years, allowing the successful applicant up to two years to reserve a place on an intake, thus allowing students to plan their experience. To reserve a place in the Master in Political Communication, intake students are required to make a deposit of 4.000€ + the contribution to the IE Foundation (1,200€)
